Mothers' Day Music

Yesterday was a lovely Mothers' Day here. A cold front came in Saturday evening just in time to bring a blast of clean, crisp air through our freshly cleaned house.

Sunday morning, we got up and headed to the diner for breakfast. Then back home to clean up for church. James was great: he came in from Godly Play and sat in the pew relatively nicely. He also drank from the (juice) chalice for the first time during Communion-- very exciting! During coffee hour he had an unfortunate incident in which he banged his nose/face into the corner of the piano bench. He's alright-- a little wound next to his nose, a lot of crying, and an early exit from coffee hour, but nothing terrible.

We came home and got James lunch before Grandma & Grandpa came over. Then Dan sent his mom and I off to get lattes, manis, and pedis (SO Great--THANKS!!) while James took a nap. We had a DELICIOUS dinner of grilled lamb chops, bulgar wheat salad, and asparagus. Yum! During our delicious fruit salad dessert, James sang for us. I finally grabbed the camera for his third go round of "Three Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed."

Please Enjoy!

Well, the tree is him noticing a tree outside.
He had sung the song beautifully twice before I took out the camera. Like beginning to end, 3-2-1 monkeys...
